Factions Account with no Prophecies?? - Guild Wars Forums

I have a friend who wants to play GW, with the sole purpose of PVP in mind.

My question is: If he buys just Factions, does he still have access to the old pvp skills and pvp armor sets?

Armor, I'm not sure, but as far as skills go, if he does not own prophecies, then he will not have access the the propecies specific skills, such as eviscerate, meteor shower, etc.
